The story of North East Pipelines
North East Pipelines Ltd are a multi utility installation contractor based in North Yorkshire. Specialising in Water Main installation and repair, we offer an unrivalled installation service from initial planning of the project through to delivery.
Established in 2008, North East Pipelines Ltd offer a fully integrated service, from domestic supplies through to large diameter water main / ducting installation. We have extensive experience working in all types of environments from urban works through to rural installations.
We are currently working for the likes of Morrison Water Services, Yorkshire Water, United Living Infrastructure Services and ESH Group. We predominantly cover Yorkshire and the North East of England, but have also completed projects nationwide.
Open Cut - Rural Works
North East Pipelines offers a fully inclusive service including:
Establishment of working easement.
Erection of temporary and permanent fencing required for demarcation or stock-proofing purposes.
Topsoil stripping and stockpiling including sealing off topsoil and subsequent replacement, stone picking and seeding.
Pipe jointing, Electrofusion and butt welding of Polyethylene Pipelines and the installation of ductile iron and steel pipelines.
Mains / duct installation works, including importing pipe bedding and surround to protect the pipework.
Installation of all fittings, meter and bypass arrangements and the installation of all sectional chambers and cover and frames to the clients specification.
Open Cut - Urban Works
Pipe jointing, Electrofusion and butt welding of Polyethylene Pipelines and the installation of ductile iron and steel pipelines.
Mains / duct installation works, including importing pipe bedding and surround to protect the pipework.
Supply and import road infill to highway specification including permanent reinstatement works.
Installation of all fittings, meter and bypass arrangements and the installation of all sectional chambers and cover and frames to the clients specification.
Horizontal Directional Drilling
Directional Drilling is a cost effective and eco-friendly trenchless method for the installation of pipework or ducting.
We have the capability to drill a pipe diameter range from 63mm up to 450mm. Compared to traditional trenching work, Directional Drilling secures cost-effective, quick and eco-friendly underground pipework / duct project deliveries.
The method doesn't disrupt the local underground or surface infrastructure; it requires minimum road closures and minimises the footprint on the environment.
Using this technique, specialist crossings can be achieved without the need for costly solutions such as auger boring works and pipe bridges.
Examples would include stream or watercourse crossings, road and rail line crossings.
Water main repair and maintenance
North East Pipelines can investigate, locate and repair all types and sizes of water pipes offering the most cost effective repair and replacement solutions available.
We can also provide on-going maintenance to private water and fire mains, for example the repair and replacement of sluice valves and fire hydrant or washout fittings.
Effective, regular maintenance can provide a cost effective solution compared to the alternative replacement options available which can be expensive and disruptive to supply and businesses alike.
Pressure Testing and disinfection of water mains
North East Pipelines offer the experience and expertise to provide a comprehensive Pressure Testing and Chlorination service to newly installed water main installations.
All pressure testing is backed up with the relevant certification and mains will then be chlorinated and sampled to give assurances of the required water quality prior to commissioning the new mains.
